For nearly two thousand years, the Holy Spirit has preserved the last paragraph of Revelation 3, as a "Survivor's Manuel" for the church of the Last Days. Although Christianity, American-style, appears to have it all together, you are about to discover Jesus has a different opinion. He is about to strip the church's religious masquerade and reveal her true character with a chilling five-fold condemnation: "wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked." His code word for her spiritual condition is "Laodicea."

As you progress through these short and easy to read chapters, you will discover God's healing balm for the church of the twenty-first century. It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit will rest upon you and that the wonderful counsel of Jesus Christ will revive His Spirit within. Welcome to the cure for what ails "The Yawning Church of the Twenty-first Century.

EXCELLENT FOR SMALL GROUP STUDIES AND GIFTS.

God’s ways are not our ways, neither are his thoughts our thoughts. It should come as no surprise that the teachings found of Bible often conflict with our thoughts and behaviors. This conflict sets the stage for My “I” Problem with God’s Word. These devotions, written in the first person, do not express the author’s personal struggles with God’s Word; rather, they describe the reader’s spiritual journey. From the first paragraph, the reader becomes the “I,” allowing God to expose personal sin and the struggle of exchanging worldly ways for holy living. The reader enters into the spiritual struggle and victory.

Each chapter highlights one or two verses, uniquely explained and applied through five daily readings. The subjects include thankfulness, spiritual battles, faith being tested, and forgiving others.  My “I” Problem with God’s Word  is the first in a series of devotionals. Daily readings 51-100 is projected to be published in the summer of 2010.
